This is a stunning light blue/gray set of authentic Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearls.
The pearls on the necklace measure 8.00-8.50mm and have great luster, light pinkish overtones and a slightly bluish gray color. The pearls on the bracelet range from 7.00-7.25mm. Moderate amount of blemishes, some lighter or darker areas. Semi baroque shape.
Clasps are in solid sterling silver with with hand engraving and a single white pearl set in the center. They are stamped "SILVER" which is an older mark for sterling. Total length is 15.50 inch for the necklace it is a choker. The bracelet measures 7.75 inch. From Japan 1940-1960's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
