This is a slick pair of mid century modern Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl and black onyx cufflinks.
The pearls are 4.25mm round. They are highly lustrous with bright pink overtones. They are set on top of jet black polished onyx. No noticeable chips or scratches.
They are made of solid sterling silver with prongs coming over the edge to hold the stone in place. They are not stamped but test as solid sterling silver. They measure 7/8 x 5/8 inch across the face. From Japan 1950's-1980's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
