This is a lovely and unique baroque blue Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl necklace.
The pearls are 7.00-8.00mm and are baroque with great luster and nice rosy overtones. They are a medium blue/silver color. Quite a bit of color variation between pearls. They are a a very baroque shape with tails, wrinkles and rings. Moderate amount of blemishes.
Clasp is hand engraved and features a small pearl set on top. It is stamped "STERLING". Total length is 27.50 inches. From mid-century Japan.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
