This is an unusual baroque blue Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl necklace.
The pearls are 7.50-9.00mm and are a very baroque shape with good luster and nice rosy overtones. They are a medium light blue/silver color. Quite a bit of color variation between pearls. They have wrinkles and rings and other characteristics of baroque pearls. Very slightly graduated.
Clasp features a small pearl set on top and is gold tone. It is stamped "SILVER" for solid sterling silver. Total length is 18.50 inches. From mid-century Japan.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
