This is an unusually large vintage strand of baroque Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearls.
The pearls are lustrous and large ranging from 9.00-10.00mm. They are a white color with bright rosy pink overtones. Good luster and very baroque shape. Good quality for their large size. Moderate amount of blemishes and some dull spots as is common with baroque pearls.
Clasp is in solid sterling with an atomic or mid-century design. It has four 6.00mm pearls set in the center and surrounded by hand engraved and milgrain details. Stamped "STERLING" for solid sterling silver. Total length is 17.50 inch. From Japan 1950's-1960's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
