This is a unique atomic era modernist Japanese akoya saltwater designer cultured pearl brooch.
The pearls are 4.50-4.75mm round and are set into triangle cut outs. They have great luster with sharp rosy overtones.
It is made of solid coin silver and has a unique retro design. Stamped "835" for coin silver, or slightly less pure than sterling. It is also signed with a designer mark I cannot make out. It measures 1 1/4 inches long. It is not a true silver color but has a slightly golden color patina.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
