This is an atomic era modernist brooch with gray/blue Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl and sterling silver.
The pearls are 6.00-7.50mm with a medium blue/gray body color. They have great luster with rose overtones. Very lovely color. Some are semi baroque.
It is made of solid sterling silver and has textured surface. It is a modernist atomic era design. Stamped "950" for slightly more pure than sterling silver. It measures 2 1/8 inches long. From mid-century Japan.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
