This is a stunning vintage Japanese saltwater cultured akoya pearl grape ring.
The pearls are lustrous and measure about 4.00-5.25mm. They are a white/cream color with pink overtones.
It is set in solid sterling silver. It is stamped "SILVER" which is an older stamp for sterling, great workmanship. The leaves are detailed with hand engraving and milgrain and surrounded by high polished vines. US size 7 1/2. Comes in the original wood and silk box. Box is in great condition but has a few scuffs on the corners. It is signed "ASAHI SHOTEN" 'IMPERIAL HOTEL" "TOKYO". From Japan 1940-1960's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
