This is an exceptional quality highly detailed Japanese akoya saltwater blue cultured pearl grape cluster brooch.

The pearls are 4.25-5.75mm round. They have great luster with pink overtones and colors ranging from gray to blue to silver and white. Baroque to round shape. Lovely graduated colors falling out of the basket.

It is made of solid sterling silver and is very large. Highly detailed engraved leaves with milgrain accents and a wonderful basket complete with a bow. It measures 2 1/8 inches long. Japan 1930's-1940's. It has a very old trombone clasp. 

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
