This is a lovely and unusually large art deco graduated strand of authentic Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearls.
The pearls range from 6.00-9.25mm and have good luster with some blemishes and rosy pink overtones. Some are a very slight baroque shape. Few light blemishes. From Japan 1930's-1950's.
Clasp is in solid sterling silver with an industrial/art deco design with hand engraving and milgrain. It is stamped "SILVER" which is an older mark for sterling. Total length is 19.50 inch.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
