This is a stunning antique rough cut diamond and graduated Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl necklace.
The pearls range from 3.00-7.00mm and have fantastic luster, bright rosy pink overtones and a very light amount of natural blemishes.
Clasp is two tone and features 18K yellow gold on the bottom and the tongue and sterling silver on top. It was a common style in the Victorian era. It is stamped "K18" for 18K solid gold but not stamped for silver but was tested. There are also two rough cut white diamonds and a single 4.50mm pearl in the center surrounded by delicate milgrain edges. Total length is 21.50 inches. From Japan 1900's-1940's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
