This is a vintage cream colored Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl tie tac.

The pearl is 6.75mm round. It has very good luster with rosy pink overtones. It is a cream/beige color. 

The setting is in solid sterling silver while the backing is base metal, which is standard. From mid-century Japan, 1950's-1980's.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
