This is a retro mid-century modern Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl tie bar.

The pearl is 7.25mm round. It has good luster with rosy overtones. It is set onto a brushed textured background. 

It is made of solid sterling. Stamped "SILVER" and older Japanese mark for sterling. Measures 1 1/8 inch across. Very modernist style. From Japan 1940's-1980's.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned. Has some scratching on the back.
