This is a lovely mid-century modern Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl tie tac by Hickok.
The pearl is 4.75mm round. It has great luster with rosy overtones.
The setting and stem is made of solid sterling silver and is stamped "STERLING" and "HICKOK". The back of the tie tac and button bar is base metal as is common. Measures 5/8 inch.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
