This is a unique pair of Japanese tsuzumi drum akoya saltwater cultured pearl & sterling silver screwback earrings.

The pearls have great luster and rosy pink overtones. They measure 6.00-6.25mm across. They are set among a life like tsuzumi drum with wire wrapping. 

It is set in solid sterling silver. Stamped "A SILVER" which is an older mark for sterling. Total length is 1 3/8 inch. Roughly from 1940's-1980's Japan. 

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
