This is a playful pair of Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearl screwback fan earrings.
The pearls are 4.25mm round. They have soft luster with light rosy overtones and white color. They are set in solid sterling silver with a black rhodium coating, very stunning contrast. There is a 6mm black cabochon stone at the top of each earring.
They are stamped "SILVER" which is an older mark for sterling. Fan measures 1 /4 Inch long. They are articulated but don't close.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
