This is a lovely vintage designer Mikimoto Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl ribbon pendant.
The pearl measures 6.50mm and has fantastic luster with bright rosy overtones.
It is set in a solid sterling silver textured ribbon design. Stamped "M" in a clamshell for Mikimoto and "S" in a square which is an older mark for sterling. Also stamped "NHK" for a prominent Japanese news channel. Total pendant length is 1 1/4 inch. From Japan 1950's-1980's. Chain measures 16 inch, it is also Mikimoto branded.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
