This is a lovely nouveau style Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl leafy brooch.

The pearls are 4.25-5.50mm round. They have fantastic luster with bright rosy pink overtones.

It is made of solid sterling silver and has detailed hand engraving and milgrain throughout. It is stamped "SILVER" which is an older mark for sterling silver. It measures 2 inches long. From Japan 1930's-1950's. 

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
