This is a lovely retro mid-century Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl brooch with brushed leaf accents.
The pearls are 5.25-5.50mm round. They have exceptional luster with rosy pink overtones. Very few blemishes.
It is made of solid sterling silver. The leaves are brushed texture with high polished swirling accents. Stamped "SILVER" which is an older mark for sterling. Has a small loop and can be worn as a pendant. It measures 1 1/2 inches long. From Japan 1950's-1970's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
