This is a lovely vintage Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl solitaire brooch or pendant.

The pearl measures 7.50mm round. It has very good luster and bright rosy pink overtones. It is large. 

It is made of solid sterling silver with a braided design. It is stamped "SILVER" for solid sterling silver. It measures 2 inches long. It can be worn as a brooch but also has a pendant loop. From Japan 1940's-1960's. 

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
