This is a lovely vintage Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl grapevine brooch.
The pearls measure 3.50-5.50mm round. They have high luster with very bright rosy pink overtones.
It is made of solid sterling silver and features a realistic vine and a hand engraved grape leaf. It is stamped "STERLING" for solid sterling silver. It measures 2 inches long. From Japan 1940's-1960's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
