This is a well made designer Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl circle pin with a floral cherry blossom or sakura design.
The pearls are 3.75-4.25mm and round. They have fantastic luster with sharp rosy pink overtones.
It is made of solid sterling silver. The leaves have are detailed and the flower petals are textured as well. It is stamped "STERLING" and "A&Z" for a designer. It measures 1 3/8 inches long. From mid-century.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
