This is a stunning but petite Mikimoto  Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl brooch.

The pearls are 5.00mm round. They have great luster with light rosy overtones.

It is made of solid sterling silver and has swirling engraved ribbon details. It is stamped "M" in a clamshell for Mikimoto and "S" in a square for sterling silver. It measures 1 3/16 inches long.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
