This is lovely large vintage strand of Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearls.

The pearls measure 8.00-8.50mm and have great luster with rosy pink overtones. They are very slightly graduated. They are also slightly off round to semi-baroque. Medium amount of natural blemishes. 

Clasp is in solid sterling silver with a single pearl in the center. It is stamped "SILVER" which is an older mark for sterling. Total length is 17.50 inch. From Japan 1940s-1980's.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
