This is a stunning hand engraved vintage Mikimoto leaf Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl brooch.

The pearls are 5.00-5.75mm round. They have fantastic luster with bright rosy overtones. They are a white/pink color. 

It is made of solid sterling silver and has lovely hand engraved and milgrained leaves. It is stamped "M" in a clamshell for Mikimoto and "S" in a square for sterling silver. It measures 1 1/4 inches long. From Japan 1940's-1980's.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
