This is a lovely petite vintage Mikimoto Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl swirl pendant.

The pearls measure 4.75mm and have fantastic luster with bright rosy overtones.

They are set in solid sterling silver engraved swirl design. Very nice quality detailing. Stamped "M" in a clamshell for Mikimoto and "S" in a square which is an older mark for sterling. Total pendant length is 1 inch. From Japan 1940's-1980's. This pendant was converted from a single screwback earring that has lost its mate.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
