This is a quality Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearl and sterling silver butterfly brooch.

The pearls are lustrous and measure 6.50-6.75mm. They have rosy pink overtones and are white in color, nice quality. 

It is made of solid sterling silver and has a stardust texture. It is stamped "STERLING 950" for slightly more pure than sterling silver. It measures 2 1/2 inches long. From Japan, 1950's-1980's. 

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
