This is a stunning hand engraved Mikimoto ginko leaf Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl brooch.

The pearls are 4.25-5.00mm round. They have great luster with bright rosy pink overtones.

It is made of solid sterling silver and has brushed textured leaves and high polished accents. It is stamped "M" in a clamshell for Mikimoto and "S" in a square for sterling silver. It measures 1 1/2 inches long. From around mid-century.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
