This is a stunning mid-century Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl and black onyx tie bar.

The pearl is 6.00mm round. It has fantastic luster with bright rosy overtones. It is set on a disk of round black onyx. No chips or damage to the stone.

It is made of solid sterling. Stamped "SILVER" which is an older mark for sterling. Measures 2 1/8 inch across. Very detailed and great care went into its production. Can be used as a tie bar or money clip. Japan 1950-1960's. Some light scratching, could use a polish if desired. 

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
