This is a stunning life-like Mikimoto ginkgo leaf Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl brooch.

The pearl is highly lustrous with pink overtones and measures 6.50mm round. 

It is made of solid sterling silver and has fantastic brushed texture on the leaf. It is stamped "M" in a clamshell for Mikimoto and "S" in a square for sterling silver. It measures 1 5/8 inches long. Comes in the original green velvet box. It is signed "MIKIMOTO CULTURED PEARLS". It is good condition but has some light staining on the inside. From Japan 1940's-1960's.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
